Welcome to SafeKey. By registering, syncing encrypted data, interacting with dashboards, NFC flows, Dead Man’s Switch settings, or payment screens you conclude a legally binding arrangement with AlfaNest Labs on these Terms plus our Privacy Policy.
Eligibility
Users must meet the legal age threshold of their jurisdictions and may not circumvent export controls. Enterprise buyers must procure written approval if AlfaNest mandates separate order forms.
Nature of the service
SafeKey exposes web and API surfaces for ciphertext sync, provisioning, auditing account state, configuring optional guardianship automation, issuing NTAG onboarding guidance, presenting documentation, routing you to Stripe for payments, but never guaranteeing uninterrupted uptime. AlfaNest enhances but does not warrant zero defects.
Zero-knowledge responsibility
You encrypt locally. AlfaNest cannot recover lost vault secrets, undone backups, improperly configured Dead Man’s recipients, or compromised authenticator pairing. Maintain offline recovery copies and practise safe hardware hygiene.
Accounts, credentials and devices
Maintain unique passwords on each device backing your SafeKey vault, secure your TOTP applications, revoke unknown devices promptly, and notify contact@alfanestlabs.com if takeover is suspected.
Acceptable use
You may not scrape production APIs aggressively, fuzz auth without permission, launder illicit funds, impersonate AlfaNest Labs, upload malware-infected payloads designed to exploit staff, circumvent anti-abuse throttles, or assist others in harming users. Breach empowers suspension or prosecution where laws allow.
Paid features
Billing uses Stripe checkout for one-off unlocks wherever listed. Taxes follow your invoice jurisdiction. AlfaNest refuses partial refunds absent mandatory consumer statutes; raise disputes courteously referencing invoice IDs.
Disclaimers
EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED, SAFEKEY IS OFFERED “AS IS.” ALFANEST LABS DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS.
Limitation of liability
TO THE EXTENT LAW PERMITS, TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM RELATED CLAIMS DOES NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID SAFEKEY TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE FIRST CLAIM OR EUR 150 WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Indemnification
You indemnify AlfaNest Labs affiliates, contractors, licensors, Stripe, upstream mail providers against third-party lawsuits traceable to your abusive conduct, breached warranties, negligent key handling misrepresented as AlfaNest faults, intellectual property misconduct, or unauthorised regulatory violations.
Suspension & termination
Either party terminates with notice when required by statute. AlfaNest Labs may cease access proportionally upon severe abuse investigations, ransomware indicators, overdue fraud reviews, statutory demands, unpaid invoices overdue >30 days absent grace, or your written delete request deleting stored ciphertext blobs after cryptographic erase tasks finish.
Governing law & venue
Unless mandatory consumer rules say otherwise French substantive law guides interpretation for contracts with AlfaNest Labs operating from France alongside applicable EU Regulations. Venue defaults to French courts tolerant of SCC arbitration where cross-border purchasers demand EU neutral panels.
